The 2024 Anacortes Artist’s Studio Tour will take place:
Saturday and Sunday, September 7-8, 2024 10am – 5pm.

“It’s the perfect time of year to spend some time with our local artists - to check out new trends, new mediums being used and to visit with the artists themselves. And it’s never too early to think ahead to holiday gift-giving or to find some special new art for yourself or your home.”

– Lisa Rhoades, co-chair of the AAST.

About the artists

Local artists celebrated during sixth annual working studio tour

Now in its seventh year, the 98221 Anacortes Artist’s Studio Tour will be held Saturday and Sunday, September 9-10. Seven artists new to the tour will be among the 40+ participants.

All the artists live and work in the 98221 Zip Code and their art will be exhibited and explained at 28 locations, with some artists sharing venues in homes, studios and galleries across Fidalgo Island.  Free maps for the self-guided tour will be available at many locations and three gift baskets will be awarded to visitors who enter the drawing at the end of the weekend.

“We’re so lucky to have so many fascinating artists living in our community – and it can be inspirational to spend time with them, to learn about their challenges and techniques,” she added. “That’s why we call it a ‘working studio tour,’ because you’ll actually see the artists at work.”

Rhoades will be assisted by Carol Adams and Carol Barnett this year.  “Our working studio tour has shown steady growth, so they’ll help ensure that everything runs smoothly from planning stages through the weekend of the tour,” Rhoades said.

The working studio tour’s new website will also help prepare visitors for the event. “Anacortesstudiotour.com will become the first place to look for timely details about this year’s art and artists,” she advised.
